Supraśl Small town and health resort in the Podlasie region

Suparaśl was established more than 500 years ago and there you will find several unique monuments. The most important is beautiful monastery which houses the Museum of Icons – the most modern museum of its kind in Poland. Museum disposes of one of the richest collection of icons from 18th, 19th and 20th century. The jewel of the collection is a group of 16th-century frescos rescued from the Orthodox church in Supraśl. Supraśl is good destination for kayaking trips, cycling, horse riding and hiking, during which you can admire the rich fauna and flora of the Knyszyn Forest. It is also the best place to start the tour on the Tatar Trail. The famous Kruszyniany village is located 40 km from here. A road runs through Knyszyńska Forest and picturesque old small town Krynki. By the road to Kruszyniany you can see wild bisons.

Suprasl is home for the Wierszalin Theatre – established in 1991 by Piotr Tomaszuk. The performances which abounded with magical characters drew on the cultural heritage of this lands.
